On Guard!!!

How come so many Professional Pilots stuff up 'on guard 'all the time?

I am continually hearing inbound calls to company and every now and then readbacks to ATC on 121.5. Whats going on? Poor habits and Airmanship or what?

Its really simple, look down at your ACP and check your Audio Controller is selected to the appropriate VHF before transmitting.

Having got that off my chest, I'll probably go and stuff up next week  .

Safe flying, hoss

Yeah, guilty! The old 'sonic finger' takes over. :=

It’s a bloke thing. Like when you go to the ‘fridge and say: “Damn, we’re out of butter,” and she waltzes over and pulls out the bright red butter container from right under you nose and replies: “Not seeing too well this morning are we? Must have been all the XXXX last night!”

Tell me about it.

Excuses for selector slipups:

1) Cockpit gremlins changed it whilst you weren't looking
2) Hostie knocked the selector with her knee
3) The vibration from No2 shook it
4) The Copilot has been fiddling again
5) The chick from row 3a knocked it as she was leaning over to look out of the window

more ???

not that I make this mistake on a regular basis !!!!

I swear it was the wet season wiring fault again!

Have done it in the past, no doubt will do it again... Ive instigated the carton fine as have many... I just wish the old carton fine was still relevant in my new line of work... Losta radio stuff ups there!

At least these chaps and chapesses have 121.5 selected.... :D
