Nimbus Meteorology

Does anyone have any idea of what happened to Mal Glover and Ian Murphy of Nimbus Meteorology from back in the eighties? These two were absolute legends and provided the most enjoyable learning experience that I have encountered. They knew their stuff and got it across very well. I'VE NEVER HAD A WOMAN IN MY CLASS THAT I HAVEN'T MADE CRY YET!!!!

Now all chant together

By day, the earth's surface is heated by solar radiation,

By night terrestrial radiation heat the earth's atmosphere .....

Yep, remeber Mal Glover with fondness. As with you EPIRB

knew their stuff and got it across very well.

Not sure and hope I'm wrong, but I believe Mal passed away a few years ago. "What type of precipitation falls from cumulous cloud lad"..."rain Mal"....."stand on the desk lad". :O

Nimbus.

Can't really assist on this one, but last time I saw Ian was via a kind invitation to his home to pick up some SCPL notes. Wonderful teacher, but too bad for me I was the 'victim'! He had one in most of his classes. AAA. Them's were the days!

Haven't spoken with Ian for a while but, as far as I know, he still lives in Melbourne at the same address as when you lot were wading through the Nimbus courses down at Noel's place at Essendon and elsewhere ......

I have no idea if he plays on PPRuNe but I suppose I could give him a call and invite him to respond ?

... actually, they started out in the late 70s .... all seems so long ago, now .......
