Helicopter Training in Perth, WA.

Hi guys,

I am a fixed wing jet-jock from the UK looking to do some basic training on whirlybirds in the Perth area in March. Last time I was down there I asked for ideas on fixed wing hire and ended up very happy with a bird from Minovation (hey, that could be taken the wrong way!!). If anyone could provide me with a steer on who to go to for helicopter training (I guess at Jandakot??) I would appreciate it. Jandakot helicopters is the only one I have found on the web...

there are only two that I am aware of at the moment. As you mentioned, Jandakot helicopters is one and the other is called heliwest, up the north end of the field. you might have a job finding a web site for them as they are fairly new.

learning to fly helicopters in Perth

The only really good place to learn to fly in my opinion, is Heli west www.heliwest.com.au they have a bell 47 G5 and a brand new hughes 300 CBi. there are instructors with 20'000hrs and some with 8'000 to 13'000 plus hours all very good. you can fly almost all year over here as we have 300 plus days of sunshine and so far this year have only missed a few days because of bad weather. so now its over to you to go check out there web site. and make a booking to fly. good luck....:ok:
