Brilliant, at-least now PX can attribute half of their fleet being non-operational to a different cause; as the 737 and 767, and probably the Fokker, are equipped with Mode S extended squitters. However, it's unlikely that the DH8 fleet is.

The PX fleet is all ADSB compliant .. no probs there. Owners of non-compliant aircraft will call on their local member, apply pressure here and there, perhaps a brown envelope, and all of a sudden you have concessions issued.
The issue with PX fleet is unreliability and unserviceability. Whilst the fleet is aging, spare parts are plentiful in the market place. PX has stripped out F100's, F70's and Dash aircraft to use as christmas trees (spare parts bin) you can only pick so much of a bone.
The root cause is a lack of money to buy in USD. Difficulty obtaining foreign exchange from Bank South Pacific.
Anti-white sentiment running high. When you terminate your best CEO and your best Chief Engineer, the follow on is a lack of guidance through the ranks. Qualified staff in engineering and tech crew will always keep an eye on better more lucrative employment options.
Purchasing a new fleet of Airbus A220 and B787 Dreamliners aircraft is not going to solve the issue.; just creates more staffing issues across the board. The Forex problem does not go away ...
Poor management and decisions at board level.
The government Falcon 900 assigned to PX is probably funded by PX, and the Prime Minister uses the aircraft like his personal taxi. The government B350 King Air has changed to CASA PNG as operator, therefore the funding channel changes yet again. Prime Ministers #2 taxi. King Air currently being returned to flight status at Jet Aviation in Cairns.
A once proud airline is no more ....

A new NOTAM, A1439 has been issued

This is to prevent aircraft fitted with UN-serviceable ADSB from entering Moresby Class C airspace. Apparently, people were claiming it was fitted but not working...
