It is the security camera's fault. Not painted in red and white

I see the issue straight away....

The pilot (or whoever is walking around outside of the aircraft) is not wearing high-vis!

Better check his ASIC is current also.. but I reckon it's more likely to be a W&B issue - looks to me like the aircraft was nose heavy.

Funny that whatever they are wearing stands out more than day-glo yellow. Someday we'll probably find out the dye in hi-vs causes cancer, who to sue, the vest maker or the idiots who mandate it everywhere its not really needed.

Then there's the idiots that erect poles with cameras on them in the middle of a taxiway complex and probably complain when a trainer clips one with a wing, and they still would have no footage of it as its below the cameras.

Looks more like a maintenance error, they moved the nose wheel to the tail and the pilot didn't notice.

PS if I sit in front of those yellow cones, box or taxiway lines in my yellow vest, am I still hi-vis?

I watched the first Warehouse alongside 13/31 erected. There was definitely a few close-ish approaches on 22 that could have clipped it. As well as the Eagles early right turns off 35R/31R that tried to high five workers on the roof, tower guys might remember what I mean.

I would assume that in order for a pilot to be accused of not wearing their safety cloak, said pilot would first need to be seen by the accuser. Reminds me a bit of the time I was scheduled to fly, during the day, an aeroplane painted in all over red and the student asked me with some concern if it was a problem that the rotating beacon wasn't working.

A bit like the ******** safety officer who drove about a k and a half to rip it up a pilot loading his aircraft who wasn't wearing the vest. Old mate listened to the safety 'lecture' for about 2 minutes before asking the safety officer how he saw him from so far away with no vest on. ******** drove off in a huff.

Must’ve been in Mildura. They still carry on with all that **** up there. Bendigo isn’t much better these days.

I hear from a friend (who is now upset that his training has been put on hold) that it was a C152 Aerobat.

Apparently, during some low-level aeros the solo student pilot didn't quite have enough altitude to pull out of a loop.. but he ended up right on centerline for 17L so at least he got some marks for effort.

Here's pictures of the Piper C152 doing some low passes before the loop. It was a special Brazillian night at the RVAC Bar that afternoon and quite full, so lots of witnesses. Pedro said he was quite thrilled until it was clear the Piper had lost its thronomiester and was set to impact a local day care, with parts possibly showering the festival. The skilled hero pilot then managed to hit the runway vertically preventing massive carnage and loss of life. The ATSB said that we wasted their valuable time just calling them for comment so they won't even look at the pictures on this one as it looks like another sensational Qantas air return was about to happen, apparently a smell emanating from a forward toilet had caused concern for Sir Pendlebury of Brighton who required the jet return to Melbourne for immediate inspection.

Poor show 43, he missed picking up the hankerchief (Mallala, SA airshow piece of one Tiger Moth driver in late 1950's)

Are you sure he wasn't just using his nosewheel to check runway tarmac strength prior to landing?? :)

It should have been contained in a shrubbery, do you know any good Shrubbers? Roger comes to mind if you can't find any others.

I heard on good authority first hand that wrists were slapped over that event.

On a side note I’m surprised at how two supposedly professional pilots were acting like 6 year old school girls when they were approved for a “low approach.” The fact that the controllers were filming was a bit of a clue that it was staged. The magic of Hollywood.

I am surprised that the two of them can legally fit in that aircraft, the payload is tiny.

I'm sure if I asked for a "low approach" in my old clunker, a certain YMMB tower controller would insist (in her best school-marm tone) that I "Land Immediately!!!" Must have been a quiet day.

Piper; Back around 1989 there was a Tower Controller at Port Moresby who sounded somewhat differently to the description you give above.
