Saw this on Channel 7 News a while ago - don't seem to be able to find anything by doing a Google search.

East of Albury, between two other towns I’ve also never heard of.

Its been found in trees in the Talangatta Valley and it does not look good. Rescue being roped in, a track will need to be cut from nearest road.

Reported as a fatal, family notified. Jabiru according to some sources.

Could this be another weather related accident?

Dick, the weather was putrid. Low cloud, rain, TS, squalls, Hail, snow.

Definitely did not feel like flying weather the last 24 hours in Victoria.

Unrelated to this incident looks like a crop duster has come to grief in QLD as well.

ABC were reporting this morning that the young RAAus pilot and his girlfriend bought the plane only recently and were excitedly looking forward to many weekends away in it - but not to be. Sad indeed.

Apparently the pilot of the Vic crash were posting to the ‘other’ Oz aviation forum.

…working at a job that helps to keep food on the tables of Australians.

His posts suggested that he was planning to use the aircraft to commute back and forth to Melbourne and he was working towards an RPL or PPL to enable entry into CTA.

The Jab would have been a nice little commuter machine.
