Australian WAC from Airservices website download
hi i remembered that you could download Australian WAC from the airservices website. I remember doing this just 2 weeks ago!
However when I go there now, it seems that the charts have been removed and instead they tell you to purchase them from their online shop? Can anyone confirm if these are no longer available for download? It's a bummer if that were the case! |
Hi zegnaangelo, I've never seen the WACs available for download from the Airservices website. Everything else, yes, but WACs, no. Only a 1-pager with the WAC numbers and latest versions.
Where were you looking? |
hi - pipercameron - probably my bad! i got the VTC and WAC mixed up (sorry I am a noob!)
i think the VTC was what I was looking at before - i still see that available for download! |
Australian WACs have been replaced with General Reference Topographic Maps published by Geoscience Australia.
"A new series based on the World Aeronautical Charts (WAC) series of maps was completed in early 2011 and is known as the 1:1 million General Reference Topographic Map Series." Or just get an EFB... |

I've just downloaded the Melbourne one and it does look similar.. I presume there'll be an AIC update about the update issued sometime soon? |
