Cessna gear leg

Hi Murray here,
Does anyone one know where I can get a C 172/152/182 right hand landing gear leg.
It's for exhibition not for transplant , have hacksaw will travel.
Regards,
MC

Visit your local airfield under cover of darkness. But make sure you have your ASIC !

Ha That's a good idea. I think I'm on firm ground legally. The law of the sea , which is close by, mentions derelict vessels , and that grass is getting pretty high around around those Cessna wheels.

Haha, he's looking to amputate a Cessna !

You'll also need a box of spare blades and an extra strong right arm, especially if it is the old leaf spring type.

Reminds me of the thefts at Moorabbin airport a few years back, where whole instrument panels were stolen. The offender was spotted by security and they gave chase, only to be thwarted by their own security fence that had been cut through by the suspect, but the security had no idea where and they got away as security had to go round the fence to get out. Early proof of how useless fences are at stopping crime.

But presumably the offender was wearing an ASIC. After all, YMMB is a Security Controlled Airport.

The burglars seemed to have good situational awareness and the ability to coordinated their turns to avoid the fore mentioned security?

Lead Balloon 22nd Feb 2022 20:38

But the law still says the burglars should be displaying their ASICs.
