Change of role

As a manger with a flying roll and your employer changed it significantly to an admin roll with limited flying. Is it fair to suggest they are making your current roll redundant?

Mangers are mostly used in livestock raising and generally found at stables and farmhouses.

Ollie Onion 27th Sep 2021 19:41

No, not unless your contract states a minimum amount of flying.

ShyTorque 27th Sep 2021 20:08

Could be worse…..at least it’s not a toilet roll.

What sort of roll……. A barrel roll or one of those Vietnamese rolls that everyone goes and get from Mascot….

As for the manger, do we really have to bring religion into this forum………..

How/why do you make a cattle trough fly? Or is that what they're calling LCC cattle class now?

Not enough info I don’t think. For example if it was a 30% flying role, there would be arguments as to whether that meant “average” or “maximum” or “minimum” etc. Unless such info was clearly stipulated in a contract. But even then it could be argued that a change of flying % is temporary etc. So back to my first bit - not enough info.

If you're any good, you will be able to find a flying job.

Things are about to explode.
Ask your boss for more flying, and if the flying does not arise, walk.
Life is too short.

If you don't have the courage to walk, please ask for remedial English coaching.
Cheers

Leafy when you say “things are about to explode” do you mean “about to self destruct”? OP should not walk, but run….to English classes, and polish up that cv.
On soapbox now, but unless English is your third language, your ability to master same is indicative to some employers of your diligence. If English is your only language it isn’t to much too expect pilots two right it proper like …troll alert.
