Much respected former CASA PNG Airworthiness Inspector;

Mike Foley passed away yesterday in New Zealand.

Was held in high regard by all in the PNG aviation industry.

Sorry to hear that. Where did MFX go to..?

Very sad news, Mike was certainly one of the good guys in the regulator. Very fair and reasonable and a straight shooter.

Another good mate gone but never forgotten. Lots of good memories (and SPs) with Mike and our other good mate, the late Sid O’Toole.

Always wondered what happened to Mike when he returned to NZ after he left PNG, sadly lost contact with him.

I thought Mike was going to sell the 185 to the late Les Wright, although the deal fell through I think. The 185 was up near the old dero club about 2 years ago looking in a pretty sad condition.

Another hangover buddy gone.
We are thinning out.

Mike's C185 was sold to long time resident, Dennis Hilditch. Was parked outside old aero club.
Rego was changed to P2-DCZ.
It is unconfirmed by believed sold and crated and sent to AUS for next owner.....
