Archerfield prang this morning 20/05/21

Anybody know what happened around 0900am this morning? Looked like a Piper Arrow from the big flying school. Towed away with the nose on a trailer behind a ute.

For the sake of the rest of us we certainly don't know.

Other than a statement that parts of the aircraft were removed by ute+trailer there's nothing in this thread that gives any indication of the cause - certainly nothing that we might learn from (other than, perhaps, to avoid random trailers laying about runways).

So, it seems a fair question to me?

Like nearly all pilots, I can learn a lot from other's mistakes. That is why the "Crash Comics" were so popular. I suppose since it would appear to be an IRM, it will turn up in the ATSB occurrence briefs in the next month or so. For Thunderbird 5, I have no idea what occurred, hence the query. If it doesn't appear I will ask an FOI, no skin off my nose.

Was that C150 being assisted by forklift ( nose wheel bent backwards ) back to maintenance hangar this morning another casualty

Edit Damage caused by straying off taxiway into a ditch
