Licence lapse times in Australia

Hello,

Can anyone please confirm what the longest time away from flying in Australia is before a CPL will lapse and what the implications of this are?
Is it similar to what they have in NZ of 5 years before needing to resit CPL air law again before a BFR?

TIA

Flight Crew Licences in Australia are valid for the holder's lifetime. You'll just need to have a current/valid proficiency check for the privileges you wish to exercise using your licence. Exam passes for CPL & ATPL are also valid for life once you have completed all 7 subject parts within a 2-year window.
