Job well done Bob,
44 years of successful operation; and owned for a few years more than that. You put a lot of $$$ into the aircraft; and gave a lot of people a great deal of pleasure. R.I.P |

Bugga ... we get more and more sad news as time marches on. Knew Bob very well in years past and worked on the bird from time to time.
Jack, as far as I am aware, is still going strong up in QLD ... we never did finish off that DC3 endorsement years ago ... As they say, only the good die young ... should see me protected for many years to come ... |
Sad news, my condolences to the family.
I watched VH-BOB in action many times 20-25 years ago down at Point Cook, often alongside The Museum's machine. Sadly I never spoke to Bob, but he certainly had a large influence on my career. Gladly VH-BOB is in excellent hands and has a bright future. |
