Despite numerous photographs of the Antinov, the Aus Border Farce have denied any Antinovs landed in OZ.

In response to queries from The Australian about the Antonov An-124, an ABF spokeswoman said “this aircraft never landed at Sydney Airport”.

Pictures captured by planespotter Kurt Ams show differently, and Sydney Airport also confirmed the An-124’s arrival on Good Friday afternoon and departure Monday morning.

Flight radar data showed the An-124 registered UR82009 arrived in Sydney from Colombo in Sri Lanka after leaving Kiev in Ukraine. Airservices Australia also confirmed the An-124’s landing in Sydney.

The Australian has learned the massive aircraft, operated by the Antonov Design Bureau was carrying a 25-tonne solar energy converter, destined for an Australian wind farm.

The converter was collected from Palermo, Sicily where it was manufactured.

I think ABF is correct as I'm not sure if they know what an "Antinov" is...

They may have ordered the right part but had the wrong part sent. It has happened. Driller was stuck in the hole off shore west coast, only retrieval resource available off shore on the east coast. Helicopter recovered the item from offshore and delivered it to chartered jet for a trans national flight, to be met by a helo to deliver part. Wrong one, repeat with the correct part.

They probably thought it was a An-124

I wonder how this 25 ton payload made its way from Palermo to Kiev to join the aircraft ?

Sounds like the info in the Oz is suspect.

I watched the arrival live on FR24 and it was surrounded by 4 or 5 vehicles quick smart after it parked up
