Living right on Qld NSW border

I have a friend who lives in Boundary Rd Tweed Heads. But here's the problem. His house is in NSW due to the border running through his front yard, but the street he lives on is in QLD.

If I do a short field landing and on rwy 32 and turn off at taxiway D and park at the southern most bay (which is in NSW and stay in the NSW part of the terminal, can I avoid the 2 weeks self isolation. I might have to climb over the back fence if I want to stay outside of QLD. He won't be able to put the garbage out as it would entail entering QLD.

Ok, I'm having a laugh, but the residence in that part of the world have a very real problem, not to mention 2 sides of the street having different time zones. Even going through a roundabout means you briefly enter QLD. Do you park your car for 2 weeks before continuing?

Out of curiosity, would landing on rwy 14 and rolling through to D constitute entering QLD........taxiway D is in NSW.

The intent is to stop cross border travellers (or have them quarantine on arrival), not stop those who live/work on opposite sides of the border in that location from living and working.

They made it clear on the news that this scenario is quite common and is catered for and will be administered on a "voluntary basis."

I can never remember which state it is in, especially during daylight savings!

It's in a state of confusion.

OK, I'll light the blue touchpaper!
Obviously the State boundary is in the wrong place given the spread of the towns and Brisbane being closer than Sydney, perhaps it's time for a realignment.
And - oh yes, that also goes for the new State of Capricornia <https://nqstate.com.au/>
I won't be back to see the answers pour in.....:rolleyes:

Hope no passengers at Coolie need to recover their car from the long term off airport car park in NSW. :}

Further west, Mount Wilson Road crosses the border multiple times.

And for those living in Mungandi, their hospital is on the other side of the border!

Live in a border town.

Have never seen so many caravans on the road.

Draw your own conclusions regarding cause and effect I suppose.
