Garmin D2 PX. Big enough to make up for small bits. World wide nav data base included. Batt lasts 20 days. Heart rate, O2 level and stress all mapped against your flight for replay to impress that chic cause you don't have the personality to do so. It tells you when you slept, how you slept, and if it was enough sleep. It complains if you didn't do enough steps or drink enough water. It's the wife on your wrist (steady!).
It ain't apple. Garmin, for those that need more than a Casio. |

Get a Garmin golf watch. Then get a job which allows you to use it a little at work, and a lot at the golf course.

Rolex GMT Master |
IWC Pilot. Neat and timeless and works equally as well outside the cockpit. Mechanical clockwork with 48h reserve and to be fair, I only ever use the chronometer on approach outbound legs. On the flip side, it won't buzz when I get a call or a message or my O2 levels are low, and there's no way I can get it to show smashed avo toasts on Instagram. Luckily my iPhone is always with me.
In all fairness, the cumulative cost of all iPhones (incl. battery and screen replacements) I purchased over time must now far exceed the price of this watch.

What good is a pilot watch without pilot shoes/socks/slacks/underpants? Pilot underpants have a special smaller genital area, also an elastic band to tuck your pilot shirt into. What happens if you loose a button on your pilot shirt? Can you buy pilot buttons?
There was a brilliant meme once on the starter-kit for instructors. It included the white pilot shirt, stripes, navy pants and, obviously, the dark R.M. Williams boots. |

For 27k, that is THE ugliest watch I've seen. Rolex is more hype (and quantity) than quality, methinks. The white oyster perpetual is elegant though. An article I can no longer find once showed that Rolex watches as being the ones that depreciate the most in the luxury segment however. As with clouds, it's best to steer clear of diamonds. |
It’s hard to recommend any one watch since besides the cost it really depends on your use and personal tastes. I’ve listed some watches below that are a good starting point and some that have a historical association with Aviation.
Casio F-91W Classic Casio watch, it does it’s job well, pretty cheap and really can’t go wrong. Casio GA 2100 1A1 G-Shock with but a thinner profile and slightly refined designed. Takes some design cues from the Royal Oak. Seiko 5 They have a good reputation given the price. Keep in mind even though it’s a cheaper movement, all mechanical watches will require servicing at some point. I would personally just wear a quartz at price point unless you really want an automatic movement. Omega Speedmaster Professional An Iconic timepiece, reliable and proven movement, if I could only ever own one watch this would be it. Rolex GMT Master II Originally designed for Pan Am pilots, useful if you regularly travel across time zones. There’s a lengthy wait list for this watch if you want to purchase it through an authorised dealer. IWC Mark XVIII Current evolution of the original Mk XI manufactured for the British MoD, it’s simple and reliable. If you like the style of the Seiko 5 you mentioned, Sinn and Hamilton also make quality timepieces. Sinn in particular has a number of aviation watches. There are a few other manufacturers that make the Flieger style watches that originated in Germany. |

Talking of underpants and watches...
I'd like to bring up another watchmaker that's less known in Australia: Torgoen (https://torgoen.com). Their clockwork is Swiss-made but it's a US company. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....0d7511119e.jpg They have a few very nice designs at an affordable price for non fanatics: https://torgoen.com/collections/t18/...rubber-strap-1 https://torgoen.com/collections/clas...-leather-strap Alpina is another Swiss watchmaker that has a few pilot models: https://alpinawatches.com/watches/st...l-371nn4s6b-2/ https://alpinawatches.com/watches/st...al-525gg4fbs6/ https://alpinawatches.com/watches/st...l-372bbg4fbs6/ The "shadow" models look really awesome but I'd have to see one for myself. |
