SA government wants to introduce a fishing license.

What happens on the day of the test if the bloody fish are off the bite and I don't land something.

Here in Australia, she is paying on average $20-$22k/year for a licence that allows her to keep the privilege of practising medicine. That's the bare truth, well north of $20k.

Really? My wife's last bill from the RACP was about $1726, an annual fellowship fee. On top of that about $800 for the Medical Board and $1881 to the RCPA, all of which seem like a ripoff to me. Are you including insurance?

cooperplace,
Sure have, apparently my writing style and attitude some believe is not suitable for pprune.
Or my suggestions that Australia is NOT the world's leader in aviation safety and good regulation, or the absolutely best and easiest and most friendly and convenient place to fly, .

Maybe some folks need to acquire more resilience (you can't say "toughen up" any more). If you want to see friendly and helpful, fly GA in the US.

I wouldn't worry too much, there's plenty of people out there with driving licences that can't drive either.:E

Sunfish,
Sadly, I think time will prove you correct.
Tootle pip!!
PS: In my view, SAAA are their own worst enemies.
