Ag plane down in Traralgon, VIC
|
Better there than half way to New Zealand !! |
Looks like the rego numbers fell off during the heavy landing. |
That had only just gone through a rebuild in NSW !!!!!!!!!!! To tear the undercarriage off is a mean feat on those! Lucky it had wire strike cutters on its steel legs. VH-TVU from memory
|
Lucky it didn't catch on fire!
|
That thing was going to NZ? That's one very brave lucky driver! -:) |
A Brave driver indeed! |
From the article:
CFA crews are on scene monitoring a gas spill. |
A very experienced driver who has done that trip on multiple occasions in those types of aircraft!
|
Monitoring it from where? The bogged firetruck??
|
GL must have 9 lives !
|
Do they put a ferry fuel tank inside the hopper, or convert the hopper to a ferry fuel tank for a flight like that to NZ?

Given where it landed there maybe some questions about that

The hopper is turned into a fuel tank. There is a conversion that is done.
