VALE FRANK PENDERGAST

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Pendergast today.
For those who have frequented Shepparton Airport over the past 60 years, the ole bloke in the blue overalls has been a fixture.
Many a young CPL got cheap (free) hours in Franks beloved Twin Comanche,
and there are plenty of captains trolling the skies who owe a start to Franks generosity.
Frank also led quite a few of them in a bit of practice at toilet roll cutting in his Tri Pacer,
Frank still holds the record for the quickest circuit at YSHT from wheels up to landing in the Tri Pacer.
A great bloke, passionate aviator, despiser of CASA, and sadly missed by the folk at YSHT.

RIP Frank, he always reminded me of Jack F up in YMIA, two old salts of the game:-)

I’ll miss his deadly repartee, his true stories of aviation “experiences” and his never-ending supply of those bloody blue overalls.

And I’ll miss Frank the individual very much.

Vale Frank Pendergast. May the legend grow.
