Jobs for low hour CPL holders in Aus/NZ
Hi all,
I am considering converting my EASA CPL to a CASA CPL in the hope to find some work down under. With not a huge amount of hours under my belt I am unsure as to what the hiring scene is in Australia. If anyone has any information regarding the industry in Australia it would be much appreciated. k9717 |
Don't bother.
Licence conversion aside you will need to have rights to work in Australia. This can be achieved by citizenship/permanent resident, passport holder of Australia or NZ or lastly sponsorship by employer. |
An EASA CPL only won't get you a working Visa or a flying job in Australia.
|
There are jobs for low hour pilots in remote areas in Australia.
However , you will need to go through a complete conversion process. But most importantly, get your self a work visa, without this you’re wasting your time |
what hours and experience do you have? been seeing a number of fresh cpls being scooped up in NZ recently.
|
I wonder who scooped them up?
|
I hold an Australian Passport which is why I was asking. Sorry I didnt include that at the beginning

Do you have a set on your chest with a marketable public social media profile and less than 200 hours, if so you should be able to walk into a turbine gig #YTG

A slap in the face to all the boys (and girls!) doing the hard yards up north aspiring to move onto these bigger operators, when some newly graduated wonder girl is gifted a position. |

Haha what's the back story to this? No need for specific names, just more info on what exactly happened?
