Elcho Island landing fees. THin edge of the wedge

Äs of 01 Feb 2018, landing fees at YELD - Elcho Island will be $40.90 per tonne with a minimum charge of $87.93 per landing (GST exclusive)"

I guess it will all be passed back onto the government anyway given the nature of flights to that little oasis in the top end.

If I ever have the misfortune to occasion a visit there, the bastards would have to pay me ! They can get stuffed!

Trying to cover the costs of the much needed security I would presume.

Trying to cover the costs of everything I would imagine. Anyone want to have a stab at the cost of a tonne of hotmix delivered to the middle of b@#$ck nowhere?

More than $40.90/tonne I'd dare say Fieldmouse :D
