Given that the accident aircraft was VH registered, why does the report make reference to safety information on the RAAus website?

Is that all you took away from the report? Enough fuel, knowing how to use your fuel tanks and which one your on and more ..

The lesson is more "Know how much fuel you have." They knew they had enough fuel but they failed to keep track of how much fuel they had.:ok: I did like the statement that the recollections of the two pilots could not be reconciled. Each tried to blame the other by the looks of it.
