The Longest TAF Ever?
I've been around for a while but have never seen a TAF this long... until today!

Easy enuf to read Bloggsie.......
Just pick ya ETA time frame....and at least its 'tabulated', but that fog is a wurry.... Cheerrsss:p |
I reckon any TAF more than four lines, for VFR flight, is usually a warning to do something else rather than go flying.
There's so many good WX days in Australia to fly VFR. |
Gerry. I think I like you a lot.
|
More than six lines is Captains sector.:p
|
Wouldn't you love to see that TAF on your next London - Perth trip! :uhoh:
|
Given the ETAs of the LHR- PER sector there's actually no requirements on PER for that flight.
|
In short, nice benign CATI wx with a hint of some fog later on. Flight plan fuel should be enough!
|
I had a good rule-of-thumb:
If there is more than 4/8 writing on the TAF you need an alternate. Surprising how well it worked. :) |
