At least one person has died after a light plane crashed at Oakdale, a semi-rural suburb in Sydney’s south-west.

The two-seater plane crashed near Barkers Lodge Road, Oakdale, about 4.20pm, according to The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).

It is not known what caused the accident.
