Salary of a Regional Aussie Pilot

Hey guys, i'm in year 12 at the moment and I was wandering what the typical salary was for a regional pilot in Australia? I've got an interest of maybe flying up north with Airnorth, Virgin or QantasLink but of course it depends on what jobs are available at the time.

Rex/Virgin/Qlink ranges 60k-80k. Lower end for newer FOs. From what I hear things are not too crash hot at Virgin currently, it's all based around the 737 going forward.

Don't mean to dampen things but getting that regional gig takes time, let alone going up against other pilots in a fairly small market. I'd plan 10 years CPL to that regional job, with instructing/charter jobs in between.

My first 10 years before that regional job I didn't earn above 40k. Whilst that was many years ago, have a look at awards now, not a lot has changed.

Thanks for that info, much appreciated! I'll have a look into it further
