Accidentally cut in half one of my FCL pages

I was cutting up the pages only down the tear-teeth provided so I could fit it in a pocket but for this one page I accidentally also cut it in half again. They are both standalone pages so I'm inclined to think I should be alright.

Alright. Was just slightly worried since I know people have cut up their CAA (UK) licences and resulted in them being voided.

The pages aren't a problem, but the scissors used probably are. Were they certified to a known standard, did they have a calibration certificate, were they used in accordance with your scissor operating manual, did you have an emergency management plan for eg PCP (paper cut procedure), were they bar-coded for tool management, was the hinge pivot correctly lubricated in accordance with your scissor maintenance manual, using the approved oil, in a quality controlled environment which incorporates a quarantine area for damaged scissors, and duly certified in your scissor logbook by a person authorised in writing to do so? Don't forget to lodge your SRR (scissor reporting report) CASA form DDy7563547-P5, monthly, in triplicate, and fax the email to your local SOI (Scissor Operations Inspector).
Again, the pages are the least of your worries!

You should ground yourself immediately.

Your competence is affected by the physical integrity of that piece of paper. Tear it other than along the regulatory perforations and you're dangerous.

Just ring CASA FCL up and get them to send you another printed licence out if your that worried, they will charge you. Damaged licence picked up on a ramp check should not present any issues if the FOI knows your ARN.

Whatever you do don't tell CASA! I can see the headlines now.
Pilot suspected to have a split personality caught by worlds best practice trying to duplicate their FCL for each other to use using non approved methods. Thankfully due to our rigorous strict liability safety regulations the offender wasn't a risk to air safety.

Seems like the only reasonable conclusion to jump to?

Yes you need to be drug and alcohol tested before you can use scissors again.

I would suggest you are going to have to re-sit your scissor theory exam again. It is very obvious, you still haven't grasped the basic operating theory of scissors, and how they cut.
You are a danger to yourself and others, while you continue to operate a pair of scissors without substantial re-training, and ensuring that a scissor proficiency endorsement is added to your licence.

And don't forget to wear the hi- vis vest when operating the scissors. Someone bumping into you and hurting themselves will only have you to blame if you don't have the hi-vis vest on. :-p

And my final tip, never wear thongs during a nuclear attack. The bomb is coming, you will be running like hell, the thong could break and you could trip and hurt yourself very badly.

Hi-vis vest - yeah. Forgot that one DSJ. Good to see you back from Cape Otway by the way.

That tip about thongs could cause some major confusion for crews visiting from places where thongs are less visible and not considered footwear.

Actually, some pilots consist entirely of bits of paper and do not exist otherwise as discernible personalities. If they lose the bits of paper they become completely invisible !
