Sadly Iain passed away in Cairns yesterday from a long illness.

Great bloke and I really enjoyed flying with him. Lots of stories about PNG

He was a very dignified and noble person who led a fullsome life.

His wings are now folded.

Sad news. Iain was born in Kenya and worked in India as a tea planter. I first met him in Goroka in 60s where he was a traffic officer with TAA. He and Dave Hunter established the Trout Farm which was a revolutionary enterprise for the times. He joined Talair as their Cairns manager and later flew the line for Flight West. I owe him big-time!

so sorry o hear about Ian. I remember him as PX manager Goroka when he was a partner in the trout farm . Lost touch but a gentleman
