That is about $123,000 per year if full time, so it seems sub contract that often includes accom normally anyway - but you still need a home or base.

What were B1 guys getting?

Under Part 66, King Air 300 and 350 are type ratings for B2, 200 and C90 are under basic B2 privileges. Purely on the under/over 5700kg limit. Just like Twin engine helicopters are type ratings no matter what the size.

Back to the award rates above, $916 p/w for basic licence, for B1.1 or B2 first type is 20% of base rate, 5% for subsequent to a maximum total licence payment of 35% of base.

So maximum award payment for a B1 or B2 including type ratings is $1236p/w.

So all the tickets under the sun and it = $32 per hour. Less than double the minimum wage.

What were B1 guys getting?
$45 for an AME , plenty of those AME's are licenced on type.
$65 for supervising LAME.


These rates have been stagnate for some time.

If that's contract not real good, as casual is $40 at the award.

I see why they are flocking to take up this trade.
