PNG WW2 aircraft salvage
 
after information in regard to the aircraft type used to transport the collection of salvaged ww2 aircraft that had been gathered and stored in the old TAA Ansett Mal ? hanger at Madang early 80s mid 80s believe it was a civil C130 and where it went ie Aus or OS

60 minutes aired a story on Sunday about an Australian allegedly removing WWII aircraft from PNG through questionable avenues. Shamefull act if what was reported is correct.

Canadian c 130 flew out a variety of a/c recovered from Balalae, Shortland Is
Kate, Zero and ?? Late 70s, early 80s ???

Some later recoveries there caused all sorts of conniptions with the Solomon Is. Was lots of publicity at the time. CWD magazine search needed. Oz bound ?? Or did they never got off the island.??
