Flight Instructor Rating ASL exam - what's it about?

Hi all, can anybody tell me what to expect in the Flight Instructor exam? Is it multiple choice like all the PPl and CPL exams? Is the content more than just PMI?
Cheers, rub

Maybe the person doing your instructor training may have an idea? I certainly hope so

Given you are going to become an instructor, maybe you should find this out for yourself?
If you've completed the PMI course your instructor would have provided you with a syllabus and references to the relevant CASR Part 61 MOS?

PMI

Get hold of the FA Flight Instructor Manual- Do not rely on the FAA questions in the FAA data base what so ever, they are similar but not in the CASA database.

Once you read all the 8 Chapters of the FAA book, go through the Pictures , diagrams, read the book carefully.
