The FAA’s proposal, which is based on industry recommendations, would reduce the time it takes to get safety enhancing technologies for small airplanes into the marketplace while also reducing cost.

Folks,
CASR Parts 23 to 35 are the FARs adopted by reference (that's a bit simplified, but you get the idea) so it would be nice to think that the new FAR 23 would become CASR 23, but sadly, don't hold your breath, because it would mean CASA surrendering power ???
And a much greater cultural shift than FAA will be required to make it work here, and in this area, CASA has been all about taking back power is was forced to surrender with the original CASR Parts 21-35 in 1998.
Sad, but true.
