Sad to hear.

Cheers Bruce, I recall many an evening in earnest conversation. A true general aviation gentleman, warrior and enthusiast. Old school and proud of it. You were a gem mate. The world is a little less shiney tonight.

Yes, a great chap and a real aviator. Had some good times back then at MB and he taught many of us in a manner we shall never forget.... RIP

Did Bruce freelance with Ausair or Flinders Island Airlines on the Pa-31 doing night freight and RPT?

Not sure about FIA but Bruce did not fly for AAC as a casual as far as I can remember. He did fly for Nicholas Skyways on Race Charters. I have very fond memories of sitting under the wing of a 310 at the Swan Hill races with Bruce. He was like me, given the offer to go into town, he preferred to stay at the airport. We would talk aeroplanes and have a good laugh all day long. Nice bloke and another victim of the old 'age rule' where on reaching 28 you were stuck in GA.
He was a true aviator, dedicated to the job and very knowledgeable about all things with wings. Keep flying Bruce.
