3 A380's at Brisbane
Does anyone know why there were 3 A380's belonging to a large ME carrier in Brisbane in the early evening of the 9th? One was parked on the freight apron, one had just pulled up at gate 75 & the 3rd one landed as we were taxing out. The landing one was 435. Just curious.

I think the link provided was to a site PPrune does not like. That site has an explanation -
(I cant quote the site or I get the ******* treatment too! Begins with b and ends in t.) A6-EDP,A6-EDO,A6-EDM were all in this evening. A6-EDP operating AKL-BNE last evening failed to depart BNE to DXB and remains here as at 1915 hrs this evening. A6-EDM arrived around 6pm from DXB this evening as EK 3434 the replacement aircraft. A6-EDO operated tonight's AKL-BNE-DXB service arriving around 1900 hrs as EK 435.This is the first time 3 Emirates A380 aircraft have been on the deck at BNE at once. |
Probably picking up some very expensive horses. Magic millions on the Gold Coast.

They use their 777 freighters for that.
