Aviation safety
Hello all, I seek your assistance. I need to write some GA safety related articles for a non commercial usage. I am not a journalist but have been in aviation all my life. I am looking for short and snappy comments, ie "it is better to be down here wishing you were up there than up there wishing you were down here". I am also looking for longer articles that can be condensed into about 200 -300 words. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have a good and genuine reason for asking. Thanks

One of my favourites :ok:
"There are lots of opinions about engine management, but data has no opinion!" Check your PM's, might be able to help if I knew more about what you need. |
Oh look out, the Jehovah's Witness is onto you! :ugh:

How about: I know there's a lot money in aviation, I put it there.
Or: the easiest way to make a small fortune in aviation is to start with a big fortune. |
Want fries with that?

"Hey, watch this"!
"Here, hold my beer for a bit will ya"! |
"Good evening ladies, it's a pleasure for you to meet me."

confirm thy airspeed on final, least the earth rise up and smite thee.
If you are bored flying, your standards are too low Insisting on perfect safety is for people who don't have the balls to live in the real world. you have never been lost, until you have been lost at Mach 3 your chances of survival, are in direct proportion to your angle of arrival. carelessness and overconfidence are usually far more dangerous than deliberately accepted risks. |

A 'Multi Engine Command Instrument Rating' indicates that the holder of such has received enough training to know when he should stay on the ground.
A superior Pilot uses his superior skills to stay out of situations which would require his superior skills to get out of such a situation. |
Never take thine altitude in vain,
Lest mother earth rise and smite thee. One for the skydivers. Blessed are those who delay too long for theirs shall be a lasting impression. |

We all start our adventures in aviation with an empty bag of experience and a full bag of luck. The aim is to fill that bag of experience before you run out of luck.
