Bonanza on Poles

Driving along the New England highway recently I came across a Bonanza on poles in a paddock at Wyberba, a district south of Stanthorpe Qld. There was no signage, nor can I find any references on Google. Anybody got any clues about it?

Seagull V,

I stopped the first time that I saw it in the middle of the paddock, March 2012. The concrete pad was then very new and an East-West grass airstrip was mown on the Northern side. The aircraft was registered VH-CCA and disappeared from the register around 1997. It's a Beech C35 Bonanza, S/No D-3023 and was last registered to G. Pike, PO Box 372, Collie, W.A. 6225.

I last saw it in August and the four cylinder engine sized prop was spinning in the breeze as I drove past.

Like you, I'd love to know the story as someone has spent a fair bit of money to place it there.

Well, you can either stick them on poles or give them away to RV pilots...

Thanks gerry111. All good gen. I though the Bonanza buffs would know all about this.
Turns out that I flew VH-CCA a bit back in the 1960s. An all electric airplane, wheels, flaps and prop. The selection of climb RPM after take off was always a heart stopping moment as the RPM dropped abruptly.
At least CCA did not kill any Doctors.

There's another one down that way somewhere on the way to Armidale, in the middle of a paddock in the middle of nowhere - on a stick. The cracker is what looks like a mini Egyptian pyramid behind it, not so mini - pretty darn big really. But that was at 100 or so clicks during the commute to New England.......... Might have been a UFO as well.
