Cirrus Parachute report out
After demonstrating a series of turns and a straight and level stall, the PIC selected 50% flap, rolled the aircraft into a left turn at about 25° angle of bank, reduced the power to idle, and raised the nose of the aircraft. The right wing dropped rapidly and the aircraft entered a spin to the right. The aircraft narrowly avoided powerlines, collided with branches of a tree, and came to rest on a fence in the garden of a residential dwelling. Wow, lost 4,000 ft and it still hadn't recovered from an unintentional spin.
Wonder if having a bigger rudder or not having a passenger in the back would of helped? |
You obviously haven't read the report and absorbed it PeterC nor the fact that there is already another thread on this.
Read the bit where it says that Spin Recovery is via CAPS deployment. The Cirrus SR22 doesn't fly like your Victa Air Tourer. |
This is being reported in an existing thread. Feel free to continue there.
