The bit I find interesting in this story is the quote at the end: Mr Jones says he fully supports the move to twin-engine choppers. "We saw only last week in Melbourne a small single-engine helicopter crashed on a footy ground," he said. "You know, if that was to happen in metropolitan Sydney with an injured person on board - the likelihood of that happening is minimal - but if it was to happen, the consequences are catastrophic. "So it's all about moving toward European legislation and regulation as we need to have the safest possible helicopters." |
Whatever happened in Melbourne, it seems that it was not an engine failure.
So yes, most likely the same (although more costly) outcome. |
Makes sense, two's always better than one, pity they only have 1 gearbox... :rolleyes:
