MECIR at Moorabbin
I want to do a MECIR at Moorabbin, in a good Seminole. I want an instructor that's experienced, patient and thorough.
I don't want to go anywhere near that soul destroying money first sausage factory up the road though. |
Go to Bini advanced flight training, best around :ok:
|
More than happy to recommend Melbourne Flight Training - they have lots of experienced instructors, with lots of practical tips.
Also they have a can do attitude. Cheers JERR |
Yeah i heard that MFT is fantastic, very good seminole, very good sim. Also they have a couple of mecir specialists there that are really experienced and switched on, plus the cfi seems to be an absolute legend and they look after you. I think i'm gona start with them.
|
Argh, the old answer your own question by singing the praises of a flying school trick...subtle indeed.
|
Well no one is contradicting what i'm saying so far so that must be a good sign yeah ?
|
Definitely Melbourne Flight Training.. They won't only help you get that ticket... But they will even help you get a job afterward.
Instructors there are highly experienced and mostly are GA for life kinda people. Stay well away from Oxford.. GFS RMIT.. All they want is your money and don't really care about you..! |
I'd either do it before Dec 4, or do it with a part 142 school. I think we are in for a period of uncertainty with the arrangements for the new Flight Examiners.

lol seminole.
Should be able to pick up a Diploma after doing it |
Why a Seminole?
Ever considered a BE95 or BE55? The Travelair and Baron 55/58 are the same endo and you'll also find it comes with the bonus advantage of actually serving a purpose outside the circuit area. |
Because the Baron is a fair bit more expensive, plus I won't be flying it for a while in the charter world. The Travelair looks like **** and is a fake baron.
On the other hand a fairly recent Seminole like the one at MFT nicely kited out I think would be a very nice training platform. |
To be fair, if December 4 brings the expected changes to multi endorsements, having a Baron endorsement won't really make a difference.
