Chocks Away 22nd May 2013 02:47

I hope not Bloggs as there's enough movement in the ranks that we can't access (such as in Air NZ) back in the 9th State...

Cobham B717

Any Cobham pilots out there who can give some info about this job, schedules, QOL, morale, bases, etc?

I see they are advertising for capts and f/o's

thanks

The Green Goblin 26th May 2013 23:28

Australia's only got 6 states. NZ would make seven if you're speaking in jest.....

Chocks Away 27th May 2013 02:45

Ok then GG, "6 States & 2 Territories" = 8 plus NZ would make = 9
(not accounting for Norfolk Island who recently succeeded to Aust Governance as a "Territory" due to bankruptcy.)

Now back to the ball game... B717 & Cobham...

captainng 27th May 2013 10:37

Does anyone know when they will be interviewing?
and what sort of response they have had to the advetisement?

ng

The Green Goblin 28th May 2013 00:39

Also some more trivia, the commonwealth star on the Australian flag has seven points. 6 representing the states, and the 7th representing states in the future (such as the open invite to NZ, or the promise of statehood to the territories).

Typhoon650 28th May 2013 01:23

One could also consider the Antarctic territory and remote islands as territories as well.

The Green Goblin 28th May 2013 01:43

They are not part of the mainland & continental shelf.

They are excluded when making reference to Australia and it's territories. They are however called Australian external territories and the Australian Antarctic Territory.

:p

Really?

Come on people, pilot stuff. I feel like a big enough nerd already. Ha ha

Capt Fathom 28th May 2013 11:29

The AD was in Flight Magazine! WTF!

Are there no pilots left in Australia to fill these positions?

Tidbinbilla 29th May 2013 21:07

Back on topic, thanks - Cobham :)

blumoon 30th May 2013 01:44

A fair bit of recruitment from what i've heard... Need to create crews for the 5 new Jets!..

Not the best EBA but they are recruiting :ok:

Pilotshumornetwork 15th Jun 2013 06:41

Hi All, has anyone applied for the 717 positions recently advertised? If so have you heard back from them. I see the positions are no longer advertised on there website.

BPA 15th Jun 2013 06:51

Just checked their website and positions are still there.

Pilotshumornetwork 15th Jun 2013 11:12

Yeah just checked and found it too. I could have sworn it wasn't posted the other day. Going blind I guess. Does anybody have and info on their recruitment process?

neon123 18th Jun 2013 03:36

Your right Pilotshumornetwork, the position was indicated as 'closed' on their website. It is now open again. I hear they are still going through the applications.

Pilotshumornetwork 18th Jun 2013 09:56

Thanks for the info mate
