Virgin pilot cadet program
 
Can someone please summarise the cost of virgins cadet program? The website doesnt state this information clearly and i havnt found any other info.

Not sure of the specifics because as you say not published anywhere.

About 110-120k I think all funded by the individual in one way or another as I think the cadet ends up paying the approx 30k (initially advanced by Virgin Aus) back over the first few years of their employment in addition to repaying the VETFEE element.

As for the VETFEE element it is my understanding that the provider must publicise the course fees for any course using VETFEE funding on their website.. As far as I can see the training provider, FTA, has not done so and only gives a link to the rather vague Virgin Australia website.

As far as I am aware at the moment VETFEE is only legally able to fund training associated with a Diploma or higher qualification, which is essentially the Instrument Training Element of the MECIR so not sure whether there is any creative accountancy going on in terms of funding the commercial licence, a Certificate IV qualification.

Perhaps ring Virgin Australia and ask or drop them an email.
