Iridium and BOSE Headset

Does anyone have any information on whether there is a simple way of connecting an IRIDIUM 9555 handset to one of the more recent BOSE headsets – the one with the 6.5mm plugs?

I thought there might be an adaptor piece or possibly it needs a small battery amplifier.

I would appreciate any advice or experience.

The only Satphone with Bluetooth is made by INMARSAT. Works great With my Bose A20. The whole reason i bought that instead of the Iridium.

I'm told there are splitter boxes that will do the job for you. Have a chat to a conehead. Should be able to help.

I ran my iridium Motorola through a flightcell unit. Worked fine.

My advice from the DoD guys in Woomera is that Iridium is the only network without "black spots" down here. On the basis, I bought 2 Motorola 9500's.

I would upgrade to the 9555, but it doesn't seem to be any better in terms of connectivity and not smaller enough to make a difference. They came with the earphone / mic wired handsfree units, so I assumed it might plug straight into the Bose A20 (its not 6.5mm. the standard is either 3.5mm or 2.5mm - I forget). My Bose A20 is in my car, which is currently locked in the hangar because I did a one way trip to the LAME. I'll try it tomorrow

Minger. Thanks. They also have a model for 6.5 mm plugs. Exactly what I want.
