Something for touring around Perth...

Hi ppruners how is it going?

After morer than 4 month struggeling with CASA it is finally done, I converted my JAA PPL to an Aussie PPL! Still hard to believe.

However now I am looking for a place to rent a decent aircraft to do some touring and see a bit of WA.
As much as I love the average 50 year old C172 spamcam with half panel u/s for training or buzzing an hour around the city I would prefer something a bit nicer for those trips. Of course I am endorsed for CSU, RG and Turbo...
Back in Europe i used to do this in a TB20 (love it!) but it seems that there are not many around here...
So maybe a 182(RG), a (good) Arrow, a Mooney...?

I noticed that RACWA at YPJT has quite a few Mooneys but I'm not too sure about becoming a member of a club since my time in Perth is limited to the next 5-6 month. Is there a reason why I never see any of them flying but always on the apron?

Jandakot would be my next airfield...

Any ideas appreciated :ok:

cheers
