Santa brought me a new artist smock and beret. Here is what I've been up to.

Two things with the metro.

It's way too good to be a Toll Metro :p

You've got to put the red arc in the propeller disk.

Just googled the name on the bottom of those painting and found you're in the next suburb to me. Might have to visit the Manly markets this Sunday with some of my birthday money :)

................sheez 'tailie' the 'E' is a nice piece of work but the salon is a piece of junk !
I did my apprenticeship on Jags & they where the worst pommy rubbish to work on despite owning a 'G' myself. All the Jags ever had where looks, that's where it ended !

'AE' as usual yr work is exquisite but careful hangin' those SE things from the wall,am sure they will fall off !:E

Wally. The 1993 XJ40 was probably the first and last of the great Jag sedans, after Jaguar sold out to BLMC in 1967.

The XJ40 was built by Ford, transmission and steering by ZF of Germany.

Electrics by Joseph Lucas, Price of Darkness! :mad: :mad:

The E Type is a 1966 Series 1 DOHC 6 cylinder 4.2 lit.

No criticism of the art work, good stuff, but if that Toll Metro is departing from SYD R/W 16R as per your description, can you paint a CASA infringement notice for not following the SID requirement to 'Not Turn Left', to hang next to the painting. :E

AS you are slipping mate, no aileron deflection on the PC12 in that landing, or was the pilot caught by surprise in a nasty stormy gust :E

Having said that......I have my fair share of shockers, usually right after a pearler :sad:

'tailie' that E is a sweet looking peace of As*. The best jag apart from the E I reckon was the 'S' type,just the right proportions and more slender than the Mk 2. I see the prices of Jags have settled down a bit these days as once upon a time even old sh*t box Mk2's where fetching a zillion bucks! The XJ 6 series 11 around 1978, nice stable car, shame about it being built by the Poms though!;)
Two things you need to accept if you own a Jag. One you need a back up car to give you at least a fighting chance to get to work on time & second you need to know a clever & cheap Auto Electrician!:)

Now that Toll Metro might have been given a quick cancel SID & a RDR hdg to take it more to the East but perhaps 'AE' has to look at his L&R hands to judge what rwy it was launching off & looking at it square on like that he got confused:ok:

Speaking of Jags and Lucas electrics:

The Lucas motto: "Get home before dark."

Lucas denies having invented darkness. But they do still have a claim to "sudden, unexpected darkness."

Lucas - inventor of the first intermittent wiper.

Lucas - inventor of the self-dimming headlamp.

The three-position Lucas switch - DIM, FLICKER and OFF.

The other three switch settings - SMOKE, SMOULDER and IGNITE.

The original anti-theft devices - Lucas Electric products.

If Lucas made guns, wars would not start either.

Did you hear about the Lucas-powered torpedo? It sank.

It's not true that Lucas, in 1947, tried to get Parliament to repeal Ohm's Law. They withdrew their efforts when they met too much resistance.

Recommended procedure before taking on a repair of Lucas equipment: check the position of the stars, kill a chicken and walk three times clockwise around your car chanting: "Oh mighty Prince of Darkness protect your unworthy servant."

Lucas systems actually uses AC current; it just has a random frequency.

When taking a comfort stop on the route always walk away from the vehicle down wind at least 100 metres before emptying bladder. This will help alleviate the ingress of moisture into the electrical system and allow you to maybe continue your journey.
