I see one outfit at least uses the likes of the Kindle.
From a pure cost point of view it doesn't make sense to me for a Flight Ops department to buy iPads at $800NZD when something like the Kindle costs under $200NZD, just to be able to read the AIP in PDF format. Sure if there are other requirements that the likes of the Kindle cannot meet then the scenario changes. |
