Essendon / Pearson Aviation
 
Hi all,

I was just informed that Pearsons at Essandon has abolished all landing fee's at Essendon / Point Cook / Mangalore.

Has Essendon airport lowered fee's or abolished?

I am looking to transfer to pearsons at there rates without landing fees are very reasonable.

Does anyone fly or hire at Pearsons? Is it a good place?

Look at the per hour rates for day/night flights and see if it's worth it.

Im an Old Student. All I can say is that there was a high standard of training, and if it wasn't for Guy, I wouldn't be where I am now!

If you're enquiring about landing fees at Essendon, the best thing to do is call the aerodrome operator. Phone number is in ERSA.

I believe the parking fees at Essendon are quite low :E

If you compare the per hour rate without landing fees versus per hour rate with landing fees, and the training aerodromes the flying schools use (distance from en, fees if applicable) then you can get an idea of cost benefit for yourself.

A 3hr flight at $330 dual with landing included will cost more than $300 dual without landing fee- but- Ab initio training initially may work in you favour with a landing fee included.
Do the maths and get heaps of info from everybody to make your decision.

I am also wanting to move to Essendon.
I was in there on Saturday and it was very very quiet.

Only Pearson's was open NAT was closed??

The weather was not that great but i guess it quiet flying this time of the year?

I am too looking for any information on Pearson Aviation? PM is welcome!

................wholly mackerel those costs are insane!.............that's nearly 10 times what it cost me dual when I started learning to drive a plane.Thread drift I know but has our wages gone up ten times since 1979(when I started)?

As for Guy P? He did some of my early lessons when he was at "Slybird":E (he's a lawyer now) & was thorough. In fact he got his NVFR approval using me an a Guinea pig with DOTC sitting in the back watching us both (or whatever they where at the time)...............talk about stress!

Me and several others had a terrible experience there last year.

Hi all,

this is an older thread, and just wondering if anyone has had recent experience with Pearson Aviation they would be happy to share.

I am considering taking lessons at Essendon but not sure who to go with.
