The Qld Govt Air Wing is a PVT op....with a B350 and a Hawker 800.

The Qld Police Air Wing is a PVT op... with a B1900, a C208B, two C208s, a BN26 and a C560.

I have flown several aircraft types as a PPL with 10 pax .

OWTs passed on by the ignorant to the impressionable have caused much drama over the years :ugh:

Whilst I also agree that the limitation of 6 is only for cost sharing, the Visual Flight Guide version 2 2007 page 12 states that for a private operations "the number of persons on the flight, including the operating crew, does not exceed 6"

I too have heard instructors erroneously quote this "limitation" but you can see where the confusion could come from.

Thank Christ i had forgotten that reg/order/whatever. Why do you think they would limit the # of pax/occupants to 6 ? Interesting to hear reasons/excuses/BS.
