Flight Ship

Thought this was interesting.

Are they wearing Pilots uniforms or Ship Capatain's uniforms?

50 knots takeoff, 85 knots cruise, 4m wave capable.

Are these operating around the Witsundays?

- Just found the company went under. That's a shame, it looked pretty cool.

Wing in Ground-effect. The Russians have been playing with it for years -and of considerably larger scale! Google search Ekranoplan.

4m waves?

Surely not for landing and taking off.....just scooting over them I hope

Apparently same as float plane 1.5m or less for takeoff & landing
looked the business but a lot of elevator pumping going on in that vid:8

Flightship Ground Effect Pty LTD was deregistered in 2005. I think they lost their only WIGE vehicle in an accident or incident?

The incident may have been the auction! :hmm:

Was being built in NQEA's sheds in Cains, and while it worked it was a bit on the edge from my recollection.

Those frequent elevator movements remind me of an aircraft I was flying on the weekend. It was an absolute death trap. No wonder the 200 hour owner is ****e shared of it.

I won't say what it was other than that it is of the wild FELINE variety.

I will be talking with the manufacturer and asking for his idea on how to resolve the issues. Although it just occurred to me that the manufacturer crashed his own model at a Qld fly-in recently. I must look that up.
