SBS 10:00pm Tonight - Fighting the Red Baron

This could be interesting viewing . . .

Fighting the Red Baron. Follows two modern-day, elite Red Arrows pilots as they take on the challenges that faced the aviators of World War I, in order to find out how aerial warfare changed forever in just four years. The pilots fly original WWI aircraft, and carry out the key challenges the plane took on in the course of WWI: photo reconnaissance, artillery ranging and bombing missions; all leading to a final classic dogfight in replica period aircraft kitted out with camera guns. (From the UK) (Documentary) (Class tba) WS

Great show - defo worth a watch. Goes to show how hard some of these old birds were to fly when you've these got ex-mil pilots with tens of thousands of hours under their belts having a bit of a struggle
