PAC-750 pilots wanted in PNG.

For those who maybe interested a company in PNG called Kendu Aviation has ads in both PNG newspapers seeking PAC-750 pilots. I can't find a link to the ad,so I hope I don't get in the sh!t for putting the details here for those who may be interested.

Requirements are,
PNG CPL
500 hrs TT
300 PNG hrs
6 months commercial flying experience
Have a good track record and an understanding of the way things are done in PNG.

They also would prefer PAC-750 endorsed pilots or endorsed on a similar class of turbine with 10 hrs in command on type I think they mean.

Apply to The General Manager, P.O. Box 687 Waigani NCD PNG or email [email protected] . There were phone numbers in the newspaper ad as well, although I don't think it's really appropriate for me to put them here.

Applications must comprise of a CV and two references and close on the 16th of July 2010.

I personally have never heard of the company so I'm assuming it's a new start up company. There has been a PAC-750 parked up for quite a while outside the Aero Club which could be their aircraft.

Hope this helps for those who may be interested.

Can you advise the rego of the PAC 750XL parked at Aero Club, please?

Waghi Warrior 15th Jul 2010 23:25

P2-KDO,it hasn't flown for a while by the look of it.

AussieO2 16th Jul 2010 02:32

Where did this one spring up from? Thought there was only 6 in PNG, ie P2-SDB/SDE/NCA/BWC/BWE/TNT.

I'm only trying to put 2 and 2 together here. The machine was parked out the front of the bar last time I was at the temple, bear in mind I was pritty p!ssed when I saw it. Rumour from a very well know jet jockey from down the road, who has been known to fly around single engine and unpressurised (Not in the jet) recons it was imported from Oz. I don't think it's flown for a while, hence if this is the company who is operating it,that's why they are advertising for drivers. It would be a good entry level job into PNG for the right pilot.

It sat with VH rego for quite some time.. several months at least... probably bought the balus before they had an AOC in hand or something?

...still single 17th Jul 2010 21:32

But who is running Kendu?

Not that Ted Diro weasel?

Not Transbear, Not NAS. Look further north and you may find the owner.

Bwaahahaha....... Yeah, the single engined unpressurized driver hate it being there, but would prefer it sitting there than him having to drive it.
Kendu don't have an AOC as yet, but are getting close.
The Aircraft is currently stuck in the never never land of almost being P2 Registered. Stickers went onto it before the Airworthiness certificate was issued, and then there was a glitch, so it sits unregistered.
Aircraft has a grand total of 190 TTSN. tyres are flat and it looks unloved for sure.

Are Kendu the same outfit reportedly in the market for 3x Twotters and drivers?

the wizard of auz 18th Jul 2010 21:56

Nope......... well not for a loooooong time yet anyway.

Any new update on this ?

Not in the slightest bit interested in the job, but interested in the aircraft. Having flown almost every aircraft on bush ops in PNG in the eighties and early 90s it would seem that it is the ideal replacement for Islanders and Twotters. Looked at the specs and despite having a payload of nearly 1.2 tonnes it is only equipped with eight pax seats or have PNG operators got more? I remember a mission 206 I flew had 'high density seating"- the middle and last row had canvas slung between to horizontal poles and were equipped with three belts each. Seating capacity- 8. Got way more than that in one day with just one seat! Moresby- "Say again your POB?" "DQU 13 POB"! Good luck to anyone flying such a capeable machine. With four engines and 910,000 lbs under me it is not a tenth as satisfying as my time in PNG.

that's as may be but don't make us missed-that-boaters too green please

Dqu was a C205 wasn't it?

norwester33 18th Sep 2010 09:34

Job taken yet?

Any more info on this?
Ideas on pay, time on/off, accomadation etc.

OzExpat 19th Sep 2010 06:33

No Troppo, it's a 206 - it just performed like a 205... probably the result of one too many occasions of 13 POB! :} I flew it in about the late 80s and I think that NCA have operated it for the past few years... or a bit more.

OzExpat 19th Sep 2010 06:35

I have an idea that the Kendu AOC was one of many jobs that Wiz had been working on prior to his most untimely death. As he was one of very few FOIs in CASA PNG, I suspect the AOC application's progress is stalled.
