Star Aviation

Hi all,

Does anyone have any idea about Star Aviation in Perth? Name of the chief pilot, min requirements ect? Also curious if they would have someone to do an endorsement on that baron of theirs.........?

Cheers

Clay is the CP and owner, good guy from what I have seen. Formula aviation own most of their fleet from memory and forbid them to be used for endorsements.

Your best bet for a Baron endo in Perth is with TAC if they still have them or Paul Lyons aviation. Ad Astral had a Baron, I don't know if they still do but they may be able to use Casairs for an endo.

Sweet, thanks GG. Any idea what type of experience they are after? Think i would have a fiar way to go yet, but be good to know what to strive for. Might ring them up and have a chat, but be good to know a rough guideline.

The usual assortment of single engine time and charter experience with over 1000 hours I would imagine.

Can't hurt to give him a buzz, Clay is always up for a chat and will give you a bit of time and advice unlike many other similar companies.

more info?

Just wondering if anyone has anymore info about the company. Calling Clay tomorrow but just wanted to know how long they have been around and what they do, basically anything that isn't mentioned on their website.

New info please?

Not much around on the web about hours or planes they fly Green Goblin do you have any more info on them?

Operate out of Perth Flight Centre (FBO) with B200/PA31. PA31 does not fly much, most charters on the B200 (mining and private trips). If your looking to max hours etc not the place to be.

Keep Digging

Their Website seems quite comprehensive!

A quick look at the CASA Aircraft Register shows 5 aircraft operated under the Star Aviation name.

I looked at their website, was just after minimum hire hours, I am looking for the first turbine job willing to be on a baron or chieftain for as long as it takes, not interested in doing max hours, just want to be flying.

Thanks :ok:

Your at the right place - not bad people there. But keep stealing the drinks from the PFC bar fridge though (yeah you know it)
